The Shop and new Membership is Closed!

After much thought I have decided to close the Hearts Enchanted shop and no longer accept new members for the membership area. I have been doing the pixel thing for 15 years now which seems unreal when I think about it. Over 10 of those years I've been blessed to be able to make a little bit of money selling pixels for you lovely folks to use in your web designs. In the past few years our particular part of the pixel community has gotten smaller and smaller. There are a lot of reasons for this and I don't think one particular problem can be pointed to above all others. Things just are what they are. As such, the demand for pixel stuff has gone down a great deal. With the limited time I have available with a new grand baby and new endeavors I am undertaking, the shop has become something of a dust collector for me. In truth, this website has become much of the same but it is not yet in me to close it completely. I am going to try to make sure to get a few updates for the members area in over the next year. I said a few years ago I would be closing the members area a couple years ago lol. Obviously I haven't. But maybe after this year I will. I'm just not sure. I would like to make this site into something of a family site with games and lore and doll makers and stuff along this line but even that I am not sure has much value in the era of Facebook and Instagram and Pinterest. The internet has changed so much since I started designing graphics and building websites. Like many things in our modern age, it seems it has been consolidated into a handful of websites. It might be time to move on. We'll see I guess. If I should happen to make something I'd like to sell instead of put into the members area I will make note of it here and you'll be able to find it at my Etsy shop. Thank you to all of you who purchased stuff from the HE Shop over the years. You guys have no idea how much it helped me through some very tough financial times. As a widow with four children and virtually no work experience during a recession with record unemployment, there were times when whether or not you purchased something made the difference between a utility getting shut off on us or getting food on the table that week. There are not even words for me to express how grateful I truly am for each and every one of you. Thank you so much!
And now I am going to putter off and see if I can't make some stuff for the members area. I hope the new year is off to a great start for everyone! ^_^

12.15.12 || New signatures! Membership Sale! & New Site ^_^
It has been ages since I've updated over here! So sorry guys! It's been a crazy year. For one I am a grandmother! My grandson Aiden Christopher was born on September 11, 2012. Lucky Grammie that I am, I get to keep him all day every day while my daughter goes to school. I was very disappointed in her and myself when I found out she was pregnant but the grandbaby is such a blessing, all the hard feelings seem utterly trivial now.
But in other news, I've added a couple holiday signatures to the shop!

03. 18. 12 ||The Spring Dragon & Teddy Lovers' Theme Week
First I want to thank everyone who participated in the Love Potion #9 Event! I hope you had as much fun hunting as I did creating the hunt for you ^_^ There is a new 'event' up although it's not as interactive as the last. The Spring Dragon has made his way to Hearts Enchanted and left behind goodies for all the kind souls who are always so eager to help.

Feb. 20. 12 || Facebook Covers & Tutorial! ^_^
First, the Love Potion #9 event has officially closed. I should be wrapping up the last few participation prizes tomorrow so check the following link then if you have not yet received your prize ^_^
For Facebookers, I have added a new category of goodies to the Freebies section! A friend asked me to make her a custom Facebook Cover for the new timeline layout and it has turned into a full blown FB Cover addiction for me hehe!!

Wow, my first update in this brand new year! I think it's a great update too! For everyone who helped Venus de Pixi find the materials for her Love Potion #9, please check out the following page to pick up your participation prize ^_^
To Jess and Alska who were the first to turn in all the materials, please check your email because your prize packages should be in the mail very soon! Also, the event is still up and available and will remain so until Valentine's Day ^_~
I've also added a new signature to the shop. The Angel of Romance Ricci is the first non-Theme Week signature available in this new character. I hope you will take a minute to check her out ^_^
I am also working on a new event for February. I think it's going to be a challenge or contest but I've yet to work out all the details, so stay tuned!
Dec. 30. 11 || Happy New Year!
Happy New Year everyone!!! I hope 2012 is awesome for all of us ^_^ To celebrate 2012, I have put memberships (all are lifetime!) on sale for $25 and if you buy one for yourself, you can get one for you friend for only $15!! But that's not all, I have added a few additional items to the site today. There is a new dollmaker under Games - Princess Whimsy Princess Maker (you can also find links to the dollmakers to your right). There are also three new sets in the Hearts Enchanted Shop. There is the Ultimate Demera Tubes set and the Ultimate Demera Line Art/Grayscale set as well as the Love Potion #9 tube set. Speaking of Love Potion #9 - Venus de Pixi is in desperate need of your assistance! Check out the Events page to find out what you can do ^_^!

I didn't have time to do much for the holidays this year which makes me really sad :( However, I decided to set everything on my To-Do list aside so I could bring something beautiful and wintery to the Hearts Enchanted shop for you today =)

Just a quick note to let everyone know the Arielle Dragon Drop (dollmaker) has been added under games. I am working on a couple new "dragon drops" to add to the games section so if you like to play with those, stay tuned!
Nov. 9. 11 || New design!
No new content just yet.. Oh wait, there is a Faery Name Generator under Games! But I want to add so much more to the Games and Events pages still, I almost hate to advertise the name generator already hehe. My Faery name is Lilia Darkleaf by the way ^_~ I did not get to do a Halloween event this year but I am going to try my best to get a Christmas event together - so stay tuned for that. No new Christmas signatures this year as I've been unable to locate the work files from those that I wanted to add, but I've added the Christmas signatures page for those who missed out in prior years.
As you can probably tell I am not using WordPress at Hearts Enchanted anymore. I only ever used it for the commenting ability so visitors could interact if they wish, however no one seems to comment so I thought I'd save the server space and go back to good old fashion from scratch web design. I may add a shout box at a later time, but for now I want to work on things that are fun more than anything.
I am not even going to post this update through the list since there is little to no content added, however make sure you sign up for the Google Groups updates list to your right >>>>>> This way you don't miss out on any updates. I also post updates to Hearts Enchanted's Facebook and Google + pages if you prefer to get your updates from either of those
