More Like Me
In this state of hostility,
Where the heat pummels my skin
And my loins pulse slow within
As the sun tears down the trees
Birds ruffling feathers, attacked by bees
No one in this place, is at all - like me...

Twilight Memories
How often
I dream of you
Stolen moments in the night
Silent memories fading into light
In my dreams I cannot hear you
Or see you quite as before
But I feel your touch and see your face
How it tears me to the core
Your long fingers gliding down my arms
Your broad smile so soft and warm
The loose wisps of hair
The emerald of your eyes
I've kept it all alive
For when the moon is swimming across the starry sea
Your vision in a dream, reveals itself to me
And in the endless boundaries of chimera
My heart is free to soar
Though your presence eludes me
I feel you in me forever more
If only the visions of my nights
Could be the realities of my day!
But alas , it was never meant to be
For ever a sweet illusion
You will be for me
