A Firefly A-glowing

Draw three slightly off black pixels in the shape of an arrow in any direction :)

With a bright green color draw five pixels along the back end of the arrow

There is your basic pixel firefly :) Super easy isn't it? You would go no further on any fireflies that would be over a transparency. However, for fireflies that would be in front of your doll, or a scene... You can add a pretty glow like so.

On a new layer, use a much lighter green to draw a square around your firefly.

Now go to Effects >> Blur >> Gaussian Blur. Radius around 1.40 is good but play with it till you get something you like..

You can also play with your layer properties in PSP ( or blending options in PS ) and try out Dodge or Screen for an even more intense effect that pulls in the color of the background :)
