First download this line art from here or from my line art section ....
This is the color palette I am using as well as a few great autumn color palettes for leaves.. The top row are the colors I am using in this tutorial.
Begin by recoloring the outline with color 1 of each sections respective palette.
Use #2 of each palette to fill in that particular area...
Use color #3 to draw shadows on the pumpkin like below..
Use color #4 to draw lights on the pumpkin like below..
Use color #3 to draw shadows on the stem like below..
Use color #4 to draw lights on the stem like below..
Use color #3 to draw shadows on the leaves like below..
Use color #4 to draw lights on the leaves like below..
Use color #3 to draw shadows on the cutouts like below..
