A Kissing Kao

For this tutorial you must know how to make a basic kao. ( or you can use the line art kao available in the line art section under Creatures )

Starter kao ;) Add whatever extras you'd like now ( i.e. bows, candy, microphone whatever! ) I've added shamrocks for my St. Pat's Day kao then add a new layer and name it "Magick Kisses". Save as kiss_kao1.psp

You're layer palette should look similar to this right now.

Using your move tool scoot the head down a little bit. Move the hands diagonally toward the face as well as anything the hands may be holding. Also make the shadow a little bit bigger. ( Remember the lower the kao the bigger the shadow, the higher the kao the smaller the shadow.. ) Save as kiss_kao2.psp

Take the smile off of your kao mouth. Then scoot the head down a lil bit more. Scoot the hands and accessories in toward the face a bit more and make the shadow a little bigger. Save as kiss_kao3.psp

Now make your kao eyes close upward ( as if he were smiling ) and move the head up a notch or so. Move the hands and accessories over the mouth and make the shadow a pixel smaller all around. Save as kiss_kao4.psp

Open kiss_kao3.psp Make the mouth smaller and on the layer named Magick Kissess add a few sprinkles beside each hand. Use three to four different colors matching your kao. Save as kiss_kao5.psp

Open kiss_kao2.psp. Add a little more smile. Add a little more sprinkles than you did on the last one. Save as kiss_kao6.psp

Open kiss_kao1.psp. This time move the hands out a little more. Add sprinkles but make them going off of the canvas ( so there won't be as many as on the last kao ) Save as kiss_kao7.psp

Now let's take it into Animation Shop!

Open Animation Shop and go into FILE >> ANIMATION WIZARD. Settings : Same Size >> Transparent >> Upper Left Corner | With Canvas Color >> Repeat indefinitely | 15. Next you need to add your images. Start with kiss_kao1 through kiss_kao7 then backwards to kiss_kao1 It should look similar to the above kk1, kk2, kk3, kk4 ,kk5 ,kk6 ,kk7 ,kk6 ,kk5 ,kk4 ,kk3 ,kk2,kk1 Click next and next again and you should be looking at about 13 frames now filled with your kaos.

Hold down ctrl and left click on Frame 1,4, 10 & 13. They should all be highlighted now. Press alt + enter and change the display time to 25.

Now click to view animation and adjust anything you feel isn't right at this time. Then go into FILE >> Optimization Wizard Settings : Animated GIF File | Create a new animation >> Next >> Next>> Save as a gif and you are done!
