A Rose
DO NOT REMOVE MINE PLEASE
This is the color palette I am using. You are welcomed to use it too for the purpose of this tutorial :)
rose - 
leaves - 
First draw your rose and leaves with color #1 I've provided a color key as well in case the numbers are too confusing in this more complex rose.
Fill in your rose petals and leaves with color #2
Paintbrush tool size 1, use color #3 to draw a line similar to below
Now fill the area toward the outside of the petal with that same color.
Paintbrush tool size 1, use color #4 to draw a line similar to below
Now fill the area to the left of that line with that same color.
Paintbrush tool size 1, use color #5 to draw along the edges until it looks right to you....
Now repeat the same process with the leaves.
Now you can add sparkles.. or baby's breath..
