Grab the roseblossom line from the nature section :) Recolor it to a dark shade of pink.
There is no palette for this tutorial because Im trying to get you guys to experiment with colors ;)

Fill with a bright bold pink or red.

Use your paint brush tool and shade similar to as I have below with a purplish red. Use another layer if your program is capable, this way you can make the opacity lower if the color you chose turns out to be too dark.

Use a paler pink to add some highlights to your rose similar to mine below. You will notice that my coloring looks more like it is painted than pixeled. That is because I am using the paintbrush in Photoshop rather than the pencil in Photoshop or the Paintbrush in Paint Shop Pro. Photoshops paintbrush is the reason I gave up Paint Shop Pro lol.. In Paint Shop Pro you can use your retouch tool, set to smudge, size 1, opacity around 55, density 100, hardness 75, step 1 to achieve a similar effect, but that is twice the work and for me time is a real issue so I just use Photoshop :)

Use layers for every new color you use, that is a good general rule that I live by :)
Now choose a pale peach and add some even more dramatic highlights similar to as I have done below.

Now with a pale yellow add some thin bright highlights to real make your rose pop.

This is after I smudged my rose in Photoshop. Just smudge with the settings above enough in PSP and you will get a similar effect.

In the rose below I have adjusted the blend of my pale yellow layer to color dodge. ( Layers >> layer properties >> Dodge in PSP )
